On Friday, March 17, Brenda Song and Macaulay Culkin confirmed they secretly welcomed a second child last year just before Christmas. The couple’s first child, Dakota Song Culkin, was born in April 2021. Dakota is named after Culkin’s late sister, who died in a car accident in 2008. The new parents kept that event private for a while as well, only releasing a brief statement saying they were “overjoyed.”

The pair have been together since 2017, and got engaged in January 2022, according to US Weekly.

“They are and always have been very in love with each other,” a source told the publication at the time. Though they generally keep their relationship private as well as their expanding family, Culkin did talk about their family planning in April 2018 on an episode of the Joe Rogan Experience.

“I’m gonna make some babies,” he gushed. “This one’s a good one, so I’m probably going to put some babies in her in a little bit. I mean, we’ve definitely been practicing.”

After the birth of Dakota, another source said they were already consider another baby.

“They want more than one kid for sure. … It can definitely happen soon,” the insider said in March 2022.

The source added that Song was “really focused on being a mom and giving him her full attention. She has a good support system around her, but she and Macaulay are really hands-on parents.”

The couple seem to be focusing on parenthood rather than wedding planning, though Song has shared a few images of their outside adventures since Dakota was born.

In an Instagram post of she and Culkin at a Rams game, she wrote in the caption, “Very few things can get us out of the house and away from our son.”
