It’s the perfect gig for a horror fan.

Stephen King IT Pennywise

The USDish team is looking for someone to participate in their third annual Stephen King Scream Job. They’re hiring a horror movie enthusiast to record their heart rate while they watch 13 of the most chilling Stephen King films for $1,300 and a Fitbit.

Applications will be accepted now until September 16, 2022, at 12 PM MST. To apply, applicants must share why they want to be frightened this way in less than 200 words. For bonus points, they can include a video of why this is the scream job for them.

These are the 13 films USDish has picked as King’s scariest films:

  • Carrie
  • Christine
  • Creepshow
  • Cujo
  • Doctor Sleep
  • Firestarter
  • It
  • It Chapter Two
  • Misery
  • The Mist
  • Pet Sematary
  • Salem’s Lot
  • The Shining

USDish launched the campaign in 2019 and received over 600,000 applications for their first contest. Now they’re looking for a genre lover to tell them which Stephen King villain is the scariest.

Last year’s winner, Ashley LaBossiere found that It (2017) was the scariest Stephen King movie followed by Misery (1990).

Whoever wins this scream job will get $1,300 as well as a swag bag valued at $350 that includes the latest Fitbit. They’ve also prepared a Stephen King Watch Guide
