Wow, this year marks the 20th anniversary of the cult classic horror film House of 1000 Corpses, directed by Rob Zombie. The film, which was Zombie’s directorial debut, follows a group of friends who stumble upon a bizarre roadside attraction run by the sadistic Firefly family.

Zombie took to insta to celebrate this milestone:

“Happy 20th anniversary to my first film HOUSE OF 1000 CORPSES! Finally after much delay and trouble this beast was released on this day in 2003. It was long crazy trip, but it was worth it. I had the best cast I could hope for. All of them went above and beyond to make this crazy film happen. A special shout out to my pal Tobe Hooper. The first person to come up to me after our first screening and compliment the film. Obviously I loved his work, so it was pretty awesome. So today fire up the film and remember all our pals Dennis Fimple, Matt McGrory, Harrison Young, Karen Black , Tom Towles, Irwin Keyes and Sid Haig. Gone but certainly not forgotten. ⭐️”

Along with his Instagram post, Zombie shared a ton of gritty cool behind the scenes photos.
