2023 is already shaping up to be an incredible year for horror. Peacock just announced the streamer is releasing Kevin Williamson’s new film Sick on January 13, 2023. That’s right, in just one week. Williamson, known for writing Scream and I Know What You Did Last Summer, is taking on slashers again with this pandemic-focused horror outing from Blumhouse and Miramax.

As the pandemic steadily brings the world to a halt, Parker and her best friend Miri decide to quarantine at the family lake house alone—or so they think.
Now, check out the official trailer:
John Hyams directs Sick with a script from Williamson and Katelyn Crabb.
Gideon Adlon( Blockers), Bethlehem Million (And Just Like That), Marc Menchaca (The Outsider,), and Jane Adams (Twin Peaks, Poltergeist) star in Sick.
In his review out of the 2022 Toronto International Film Festival, Dread Central’s managing editor Josh Korngut wrote:
Sick is a mean and scary slasher that transports you smack dab back into the worst early days of the pandemic. [It] uses the vulnerability of that era to cleverly isolate and butcher its ensemble.
Sick comes to Peacock on January 13, 2023.
