For Now, it’s the end, but it’s not an ending. May will mark the last month that PlayStation Now operates as a separate subscription outside the bigger PlayStation Plus offering, but Sony isn’t slowing down in the slightest. Starting today, Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4, Soulcalibur VI, and Blasphemous will find their way into the library for PS Now subscribers and will become available to PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers once the service changes over in June.

Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 is 2016’s final entry in the long-running 3D fighting franchise based on the anime phenomenon. From Rock Lee to Gaara, players can choose from over a hundred different familiar faces and duke it out in dream matches not seen in the show. The game’s campaign takes place at the tail end of the Naruto segment of the franchise and includes some characters from the Boruto era. Developer CyberConnect2 has since moved on to similar games based on Dragon Ball Z and Demon Slayer.

Soulcalibur VI is the return to glory for Bandai Namco’s sword-fighting series after a shaky few entries in the Xbox 360 days. Released in 2018, it features a classic roster of familiar characters (including Geralt from The Witcher and 2B  from Nier: Automata) and gameplay that iterates on the arcade days of the franchise. The character creator is a notable highlight, letting players make most any hero they desire and also the most inexplicable monsters you’ve ever seen.

Last but certainly not least, Blasphemous is a Metroidvania inspired by Dark Souls in both its brutal combat and its brutal atmosphere. Playing as a warrior known as The Penitent One, you must free the world from a cycle of violence that will not stop with you. Developed by the small team known as The Game Kitchen and published by the Worms makers at Team17, Blasphemous has rightfully earned critical praise and will certainly be worth the time of any PlayStation Now subscribers interested in its grim world.
