Why Magneto Was Right All Along

In the world of the X-Men, mutants face discrimination, threats, and sometimes even potential extermination. In response, mutants are generally given two options: The path of Professor Xavier, who argues for peaceful coexistence with the rest of humanity, and Magneto, who believes that the rest of society will not allow mutants to survive.

X-Men movies typically portray Xavier as the hero and Magneto as the villain, but … maybe they’re wrong? And maybe Magneto was right and had a point about how mutants and humans could not live side-by-side? In our latest Marvel video, we look at the long history of X-Men movies to see how Magneto’s actions and philosophy are proven to be correct or incorrect, with some pretty surprising results. We look at both the original Magneto, played by Ian McKellen, as well as the one from the First Class series, played by Michael Fassbender. Watch it below:
