There is a truth to Hollywood, it might be in their industry bible: if an original movie makes money, make a sequel. We’ve seen them repeatedly, and they are notoriously bad. Maybe only Aliens 2 is as good or better than its predecessor. Scream 2?
Below are 10 sequels, most are firsts after the original, one a surprising third. There’s even an Italian sequel to a Wes Craven movie and a Wes Craven sequel to one of his own films. Moreover, one director was bold enough to make a sequel to a Hitchcock masterpiece.
This list contains the IMDb synopsis and its respective trailer.
Hopefully, we surprise you with at least one of the titles on our list; if we did let us know in the comments. Or if you are a master movie buff and know them all, you have our respect.
Some of them only exist on DVD, but if you’re “feeling lucky” a quick Google search might lead you in the right direction as to where to see them.
