Producer Jason Blum took to Twitter to show off a very cool photo today. Blumhouse has long been at work on their adaptation of Five Nights at Freddy’s for sometime now. It has been quiet on the production front for sometime but, it appears that there is now some motion. Blum shared a photo of a member of Jim Henson’s Creature Shop working on what looks like a popular character from the games series.
The photo looks to be one of Five Nights at Freddy’s oldest and most evil characters, Freddy Fazbear. Of course, he isn’t the only bad guy in the world of Five Nights.
The synopsis for Five Nights at Freddy’s game went like this:
“The Five Nights at Freddy’s series consists of horror-themed video games in which the player is usually a night-time employee at a location connected with Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza, a fictional children’s restaurant that takes inspiration from family pizza chains like Chuck E. Cheese’s and ShowBiz Pizza Place.“
When it comes to creature design there is nobody better that you want on your work than that of Jim Henson’s shop. The evil animatronics already looked evil as heck from the Five Nights at Freddy’s games. Add in some Jim Henson skills to the whole overall design and you have yourself a heck of a rad design.
