Fans should expect a “complete 180” from Miguel Diaz in Cobra Kai Season 5.
Some events in Cobra Kai Season 5 will deeply change the character portrayed by Xolo Maridueña. Season 4 finished with Miguel embarking on a journey to find his real father in Mexico. The actor sat down with ComingSoon to discuss the evolution of Miguel and what he discovered while in Mexico.

“I feel like he did a complete 180, right? The biggest question I think in Miguel’s life up to this point will be answered. If he’s able to meet his father, what happens when he meets his father? I think, coming back from that, regardless of the outcome is going to really put things into perspective as to what the next steps are,” Maridueña said of Miguel’s journey. “Is he going to take a step back from Johnny because of the things that happen in Mexico? Is he gonna get closer with Sam and Johnny? The family dynamic, I think is one that is ever-changing as we see the Johnny-Carmen relationship start to come together and the Miguel-Sam one kind of living in this limbo. The trip, the adventure, you’re right, will cause some big changes in Miguel’s life for better or for worse.”
