Lori Harvey celebrated Mother’s Day weekend in a take on the naked dress, by way of a nude-toned lace and silk halter gown from a vintage Versace collection. She attended the Anastasia Beverly Hills Mother’s Day Celebration by her own mother’s side, as Marjorie Harvey wore a contrasting royal-blue gown for the event, complete with an up-to-there slit. It seems we now know where Lori got her classic-with-a-twist style sense from. Lori’s nude-toned gown featured a totally open back and sheer lace bodice that gave way to a formfitting silk bottom that matched in the same neutral tone. The spaghetti straps extended from the down-to-there neckline and detailed waistline. The dress originally debuted on the Versace runway back in 2006, featuring an even more dramatically open neckline.
As the event was thrown by makeup guru Anastasia Soare, Lori’s beauty look was on point, with a slightly pinched-cheek blush-tone effect and neutral glossy lips. Her hair was blown out into a loose bob that showed off a glimmer of gold from her hoop earrings. She finished off the look with coordinated strappy heeled sandals from Femme LA that laced around each ankle.
While the naked-dress trend is generally used to refer to looks that are entirely sheer in nature, Lori’s skin-tone gown gave off that optical illusion without going practically nude, taking the look and making it Mother’s Day appropriate. Lori is known for her looks that are equal parts classic and risqué. She took to Instagram just last month to show off a little black dress by LaQuan Smith that, while timeless and versatile in nature, featured an extremely revealing neckline. She wore a similarly striking look by way of her Dior swimsuit while on vacation one week prior. The 26-year-old fashion It girl has also been seen sitting front row at events such as the Chanel Cruise show in November, wearing a bikini top and cover-up skirt that would be very Coco Chanel, if not for the visible thong bottom that peeked out from underneath.
