We’re lucky enough to be living during a time when streamers are finally collecting Denzel Washington thrillers like infinity stones. We managed to clock four movies on Prime Video this month and felt that might be the mood for this weekend. Or maybe, you all call out of work next week for Denzel Washington Wednesday. However, and whenever you choose to put these films into your eyeballs is up to you. We’re just the messenger.
Devil in Blue Dress (1995)
Denzel Washington plays an L.A. private eye hired to find a missing socialite. His friend is played by Don Cheadle, so off the bat this cast is excellent. If you want a neo-noir mystery, you can hit play on this right now.
The Magnificent Seven (2016)
This one sees Denzel leading an action-western. It also has him sharing the screen with Ethan Hawke again which we all wanted to happen again after Training Day. I’m not a Western girl, but I am willing to hear this one out because Denzel Washington never misses.

Safe House (2012)
Denzel is here to wreak havoc on the CIA, and I’m here for it. This thriller also features Vera Farmiga, Brendan Gleeson, Liam Cunningham, and Tracie Thoms. With a cast that stacked, we should be paying tuition to watch.
Virtuosity (1995)
This one finds Mr. Washington in a sci-fi action thriller. No one escaped the 90s without doing a virtual reality movie including the legend himself. This one also fits under the subgenre of Denzel characters trying to stop a serial killer. Those are two rights, and even I can do that math.
Are you a fan of the Denzel Washington thrillers hitting streamers era too? Then we should talk about it at @misssharai. Also, let me know if your favorite is streaming somewhere outside of Prime Video. For research.
