The results did vary for Limp Bizkit on Results May Vary, the band’s only album without guitarist Wes Borland, who temporarily left the Fred Durst-led outfit in 2001. Fred took total control for this 2003 set, and the outcome holds a special place at the bottom of Limp Bizkit’s catalog, if not the bottom of the “Big 4” nu-metal canon.

On the record, Durst plays guitar, as does fill-in guitarist Mike Smith (ex-Snot), who joined Limp Bizkit to take Borland’s place from 2002 until Wes returned to the group in 2004. Even bassist Sam Rivers contributes some six-string here, showing just how far the Bizkits had to go to fill the shoes of Borland.
