Kelly Clarkson will soon sign off from her eponymous daytime talk show.

Back in February, the Grammy winner announced that The Kelly Clarkson Show would end after seven seasons. “I have been extremely fortunate to work with such an outstanding group of people at TKCS, both in Los Angeles and New York,” she wrote via Instagram at the time. “There have been so many amazing moments and shows over these seven seasons.”

She continued, “I am forever grateful and honored to have worked alongside the greatest band and crew you could hope for, all the talent and inspiring people who have shared their time and lives with us, all the fans who have supported out show, and to NBC for always being such a supportive and incredible partner. Because of all of that, this was not an easy decision — but this season will be my last hosting TKCS.”

Clarkson launched her talk show back in 2019. The series was originally filmed in Los Angeles, but moved to New York City at the start of Season 5 in 2023. Over the years, the series has launched several viral moments, from Clarkson’s famous “Kellyoke” segment to her hilarious interviews with celebrity guests.

“This isn’t goodbye. I’ll still be making music, playing shows here and there, and you may catch me on The Voice from time to time… you never know where I might show up next,” she added. “But for now, I want to thank y’all so much for allowing our show to be a part of your lives, and for believing in us and hanging with us for seven incredible years.”

When will The Kelly Clarkson Show‘s final episode air?

An exact date for the show’s final episode has not been announced, but the series will wrap up its run this fall.

One of the show’s producers, Bryce McLeay, seemingly hinted that the show had wrapped production via Instagram. “It is the final day of physical production on The Kelly Clarkson Show, and damn, I’m struggling to find the right words for what this experience has meant to me,” he captioned behind-the-scenes photos from the show over the years on June 11.

“I still remember our very first episode back in September 2019. I worked on the opening field piece of Kelly singing Dolly Parton‘s ‘9 to 5’ with real women — firefighters, police officers, servers, and mechanics — before the show transitioned into the studio to finish the song with the help of Steve Carell,” McLeay continued. “Right away, there was a feeling that this was going to be something special. And it was. That opening music video celebrated everyday people, and in a lot of ways, that’s what I’ll remember most about this place.”

McLeay concluded the post by writing, “I’m so proud of what we built together and excited to see what comes next. And since I’m still struggling to find the right words, I’ll just say thanks for the memories, TKCS. You were my favorite kind of high.”

Why is The Kelly Clarkson Show ending?

In her February Instagram post, Clarkson explained that her family was the main reason behind her decision to end the show. “Stepping away from the daily schedule will allow me to prioritize my kids, which feels necessary and right for this next chapter of our lives,” she wrote.

Clarkson shares her daughter, River, and son, Remy, with her late ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock, who died at the age of 48 in August 2025.

“Well, I think everybody probably gets the timing. Our family life, the dynamic changed a bit, and it has changed for a minute now,” she said of the show’s end on the February 20 episode of Today. “You’ve got kids, we’ve all got kids, and it’s one of those things when you kind of start seeing life as how precious it is.”

Clarkson went on to tell Carson Daly, “We were talking at dinner last night. I was like, ‘I know everybody thinks, like, ‘Oh, she’s, like, quitting,’ ‘ I’m like, ‘I still have other jobs.’ I still am doing stuff, so it’s like, there’s just too much on the plate. So, I was like, ‘You know what? It’s time to kind of pull back.’”

Lifestyle expert Lawrence Zarian, who has appeared on the show several times over the years, offered insight into the crew’s reaction to the show ending in a June interview with Us Weekly. “It is so bittersweet because everybody loves her,” he shared. “It is the best job in the world, the best family in the world. Alex Duda, our executive producer, and Kareen Gunning run a beautiful ship, and it has been an honor to be a part of their family.”

Zarian noted that Clarkson is stepping away from TV to focus on being a mom. “Unfortunately, the father of those kids passed, and I think life travels so fast,” he stated. “When you’re Kelly Clarkson, you don’t get to slow down. She’s choosing her kids. She’s putting her own oxygen mask on — and hopefully writing a duet for us!”
