Adam Scott has been officially welcomed to “the royal court.”
Content creator Brittany Broski announced on Saturday that her Star Wars Super Fan #2 episode featuring Scott is now live on YouTube. The timing was no accident. The Whisper Man, Scott’s new Netflix thriller, starts streaming today.
Broski’s Instagram post made clear how much she enjoyed filming. “Without making this weird.. Lord Adam I have missed you ever since we filmed this,” she wrote. “Genuinely had the best time. You’re like a cousin to me.”
That’s not your typical celebrity collab post. Most of them read like PR copy. Broski’s sounds like a genuine message to a friend.
Part of the episode’s appeal is something making a comeback from the original series. The lightsaber segment from the first Star Wars Super Fan is back, and Scott got to be part of it this time. Broski pointed it out herself: “So glad we got to bring the lightsaber back out for Star Wars Super Fan #2.”
For anyone new to the format, Broski’s Star Wars Super Fan series puts celebrity guests through their paces as devoted Star Wars enthusiasts. The whole idea is to find out how deep the love for the franchise really goes. It’s a fun premise, and it sounds like Scott delivered.
Broski’s “like a cousin” comparison carries real weight. She’s not known for hollow praise, and the warmth in her post came through clearly.
The announcement hit 183,000 likes on Instagram. That’s a solid response for a YouTube episode promo, and it shows her audience was ready for this one.
The Whisper Man is a noticeably darker kind of role than what Scott is usually associated with. He built his name playing Ben Wyatt on Parks and Recreation, the long-running NBC comedy. He’s taken on darker material in recent years, and a Netflix thriller premiere is a significant platform for that.
Today is a nice double-feature for Scott. A new film drops on a major streaming platform, and a fun collab goes live on YouTube on the same afternoon. That’s a lot going on at once.
Broski has put in serious work building her YouTube channel into something people genuinely look forward to. She’s funny without overdoing it, and her enthusiasm for her guests feels real. The star treatment she gave Scott, complete with the “Lord Adam” title and royal court language, is very on-brand for her.
