master mentalism tricks

Arcade Fire have released their new album WE. Nigel Godrich produced the LP alongside bandleaders Win Butler and Régine Chassagne. The record also features a noteworthy roster of collaborators: Josh Tillman (aka Father John Misty), Portishead and Beak>’s Geoff Barrow, composer Owen Pallett, and more contributed to the band’s sixth full-length. Listen to WE and check out the full album credits below.

WE follows Arcade Fire’s 2017 LP Everything Now. The band recorded the new album in New Orleans, El Paso, and Mount Desert Island. Their studio lineup included Régine Chassagne, Win Butler, Richard Reed Parry, Tim Kingsbury, Jeremy Gara, and Will Butler, although, following the announcement of the new album, Will Butler revealed that he had left the band after recording was complete.

The 40-minute, seven-track WE is split into two sides. The initial three-song stretch, “I,” is about isolation, while the four songs comprising the second side, “WE,” touch on reconnection. Arcade Fire recently debuted songs from the record live at Coachella 2022. On Saturday (May 7), the group will return to Saturday Night Live to perform as musical guests for the fifth time.
