A fan-favorite Ryan Gosling and Steve Carell rom-com movie will be added to Netflix soon. Crazy, Stupid, Love, originally released in 2011, is one of the many additions coming to the streaming giant’s catalog next month. At the time of its release, the film not only became a box office success but also garnered positive reviews from critics.
Crazy, Stupid, Love to stream on Netflix next month
Crazy, Stupid, Love will reportedly be added to Netflix’s catalog on February 1, 2026, as per What’s on Netflix. Other titles hitting the streaming service on the same day include Alex & Emma, Ex Machina, Focus, and Independence Day.
The film, which boasts a star-studded cast, holds solid scores on review aggregator websites. On Rotten Tomatoes, the film boasts a solid certified fresh score of 80% and a robust audience score of 78%. Meanwhile, Metacritic, which uses a weighted average to determine scores, has given the film a Metascore of 68 and a user score of 7.4 — both of which denote a “generally favorable” reception.
The film’s story includes both a main narrative and multiple subplots. The main narrative follows Cal, a middle-aged man whose wife, Emily, asks for a divorce after embarking on an affair with her co-worker David. A dejected Cal later meets Jacob, a womanizer who coaches him on building his confidence and charming women.
Meanwhile, one subplot follows Cal’s 13-year-old son Robbie, who pines after his babysitter, Jessica, who is in love with someone older. Another subplot focuses on Jacob’s growing romance with law school graduate Hannah, who initially rejects him.
Glenn Ficarra and John Requa directed Crazy, Stupid, Love from Dan Fogelman’s screenplay. Meanwhile, Steve Carell co-produced the film with Denise Di Novi.
In addition to Carell and Ryan Gosling, the rom-com movie stars Emma Stone, Julianne Moore, Marisa Tomei, Kevin Bacon, Jonah Bobo, John Carroll Lynch, Lio Tipton, and Joey King, among others.
