BTS dropped the announcement fans have been waiting on: a full world tour named ARIRANG, with Las Vegas locked in as a North American stop.
The official bts.bighitofficial account posted the news on Instagram Sunday, and the response was immediate. The announcement surpassed 2.6 million likes within hours, a striking figure even for a group with BTS’s global reach.
The post was short and direct. “BTS WORLD TOUR ‘ARIRANG’ IN LAS VEGAS,” it read, followed by hashtags confirming the North American leg and the Las Vegas dates. Venue details and full scheduling are still to come. The city name and the tour name alone were enough to get things moving.
ARIRANG is a meaningful name for a tour. It’s the title of one of Korea’s most beloved traditional folk songs. The melody carries enormous cultural weight. North and South Korea have each submitted it for UNESCO recognition. BTS attaching that name to a world tour sends a signal. There’s real cultural significance built into this tour from the start.
The seven members (RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook) have been moving back toward full group activity. All of them have now completed mandatory South Korean military service. Jin was the last to enlist and wrapped up in 2024. The whole group is available, and a large-scale collective project has been the most anticipated thing in K-pop for a while now. ARIRANG looks like the answer.
BTS is managed by HYBE and its subsidiary BigHit Entertainment. Columbia Records and Geffen Records handle distribution in key markets. That infrastructure gives the group access to some of the largest venues in the world and the resources to fill them. Las Vegas is a natural fit for a tour at this scale.
Las Vegas also carries real history for the group. BTS performed four nights at Allegiant Stadium in April 2022 for their Permission to Dance On Stage concerts. Those were the first in-person U.S. shows after the pandemic pause. They left a lasting impression on the ARMY. A return to that city under the ARIRANG name is going to mean something.
No additional dates or cities have been officially confirmed beyond Las Vegas. The North American hashtags in the original post suggest more stops are coming. Fan communities have already started mapping out potential venues. Speculation about European and Asian legs started spreading within hours of the reveal.
BTS hasn’t released venue details, a setlist, or a support act announcement yet. A city and a tour name were enough to mobilize one of the most dedicated fan bases in music.
More details from HYBE and BigHit Entertainment are expected soon. Las Vegas is confirmed. ARIRANG is officially on.
