Fake Abigail (who still has no name!) has been panicking for weeks about the kind of situation that only happens in Salem.
She doesn’t want to turn Chad’s life upside down with lies, but she thinks doing Clyde’s bidding is the only way to save her mother’s life.
That’s why Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of 10-07-24 say that she’ll respond to Chad’s decision to tell the kids about her by trying to convince him to take a trip with her.
I’m not sure which is sadder: Chad being gullible enough to not question her sudden desire to leave town or Fake Abigail thinking she has to do this.
Chad is a Dimera — one of the most powerful families in Salem, if not the world, and he hates Clyde. Plus, his uncle-by-marriage is Salem’s top private detective, and Chad also has connections in the ISA.
If Fake Abigail told him the truth, couldn’t she persuade him to use his vast resources to protect her and get her mother safely out of Clyde’s grip without causing any more trouble?
Yes, she’s already lied to him, so it could take some doing to get him to trust her.
Still, it would be a refreshing plot twist if she and Chad joined forces against Clyde instead of Fake Abigail doing his bidding.
Sadly, that’s not the way things work in Salem most of the time, and Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of 10-07-24 say Fake Abigail will up the ante by proposing marriage.
Hopefully, Chad won’t fall for that!
It May Be Too Late To Protect Chad’s Kids

Leo encouraged Chad when the fake Abigail situation started, so he believes that Abigail is alive. He also knows the kids don’t know.
However, Leo can never keep his mouth shut, ever. He’s not only Lady Whistleblower in his column, but he always manages to let a secret slip on front of the one person who should never hear it.
It’s becoming a tired TV trope, but whatever. If it moves this story along, I’m all for Leo accidentally telling the kids that their mother is supposedly alive, especially if it means he gets to share scenes with Thomas again.
More Backstage Drama At Body And Soul
At Least The Soap Within A Soap Is Confined To Only One Or Two Days
If Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of 10-07-24 have to include Body and Soul nonsense, at least it isn’t the majority of the episodes.
Now that Bonnie’s been rehired and Hattie’s been fired, Bonnie is the one making demands and driving the producers up the wall.
Enough is enough with this meta storyline. Move the production off-screen already to make way for stories that matter.
Johnny Is Jealous, But Alex’s Attention Is Elsewhere

This excuse for a love triangle has got to be one of Days of Our Lives’ stupidest stories yet.
While Alex is gloating and Johnny is seething, Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of 10-07-24 say that Alex and Stephanie are the ones getting hot and heavy.
Alex isn’t even into Chanel, so what is the point of this rivalry for her affections?
Only Murders In the Building has a similar storyline right now, but at least that one is enjoyable.
This one is obnoxious and pointless.
Eric Confronts Fiona About The Night Of The Accident
Will He Get Her to Crack Under Pressure?
It’s a shame that Days of Our Lives wrote Nicole out because she always shone in investigative stories.
With her absence, it’s up to Eric to dig into the truth, and Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of 10-07-24 say that he’ll begin by confronting Fiona.
He’s unlikely to get very far, but he does know that she and Sarah have some secret they’re keeping from Xander.
That should make for some interesting interactions between the two of them, though Eric doesn’t generally do confrontations well.
Xander Tries To Outsmart Kristen

Kristen always seems to be in a position where she can use a miracle cure as a bargaining chip.
This story makes me think of that time she used John’s survival to force Eric to drop rape charges against her, which is made even sadder knowing that Drake Hogestyn has passed away and won’t be able to participate in this story now.
Xander can hold his own with Kristen, though.
After talking it over with Sarah, he’ll try to find a way to get his hands on that cure without giving her what she wants, making it even more important that Brady’s name be cleared some other way.
More Than One Person Makes A Move Against Melinda
Two People Hate Her For Different Reasons
This is not Melinda Trask’s week!
I’ve never met a character I wanted less to hang out with, but I feel bad for her now.
Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of 10-07-24 say that EJ will try to make Melinda’s role in the baby swap public to stop Paulina from giving her his old job, and later in the week, Eric will confront her over it.
While she deserves to suffer the consequences for her role in the baby switch scheme, EJ isn’t any better, and I hate that he may get away with his plan.
Eric and Sarah Try To Piece Together The Truth
Could Fiona’s Goose Finally Be Cooked?
Sarah lied about Brady being the driver, and Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of 10-07-24 say EJ won’t let her recant.
I don’t blame him, even though he’s only doing it to be bitter and hateful. Lying to the police is a big deal, and Sarah could get in trouble for it.
In any case, Days of Our Lives spoilers say she turns to Eric to try to figure out who really hurt her. That’ll get Brady out of the trouble she put him in.
Sarah and Eric used to be lovers, so Xander might not be happy about this development, but whatever love triangle ideas are in his head aren’t as bad as what will happen when he finally learns that his mother was the one who ran Sarah over!
