Beware Boiúna trailer dropped a few days back. It features Fear Street actor Kiana Madeira, who has also shed light on the lethal threat posed by the jungle portrayed in the film. This survival horror film focuses on a group of medical volunteers fighting for their lives against a life-threatening peril in the Amazon rainforest.
They soon face a gigantic snake-like creature, Boiúna, referring to a mythical black serpent in Brazilian indigenous folklore. According to myth, the colossal predator stays in deep waters and is a shapeshifter.
The synopsis of the film reads, “Deep in the Amazon, a medical mission spirals into a fight for survival when Boiúna, a colossal ancient predator, awakens to reclaim her domain. In the jungle where nature holds absolute power, she decides who lives and who dies.”
The movie is 104 minutes long. It’s directed by Mike P. Nelson, with Alan McElroy writing the screenplay. Before this survival horror, Nelson and McElroy previously collaborated in the Wrong Turn remake.

What happens in Beware Boiúna trailer?
The trailer opens with the crew navigating the jungle while discussing the mythical creature Boiúna with a haunting, eerie score playing in the background. The characters fight for their lives against the Cobra Grande in the rainforest and the Curuçá River.
Reflecting on the movie, director Nelson shared during Boody FM’s Boo Crew podcast, “We definitely have a giant snake in this movie, but I don’t want it to be a giant snake movie. I want it to be a great movie with a giant snake in it. That was where we started building from.”
The horror movie casts Kiana Madeira, Logan Marshall-Green, and Jessica Rothe. Tony Giglio and Alan McElroy are the story writers for the film. Jeremy Bolt and Robert Kulzer, who have previously worked on the Resident Evil franchise, are the producers.
Beware Boiúna is set to hit the theaters on October 2, 2026.
