RoboCop is back, y’all. Along with him comes a Detroit that is under siege by 80s punks and classic OCP corruption. Oh, and of course a rampaging Ed-209 or two. Nacon’s RoboCop: Rogue City revealed some gameplay today and we are 100 percent behind it. Try not to explode from the inside out when you see that green targeting grid light up to track some unfortunate street punk. “Dead or alive, you’re coming with me!”
The synopsis provided for RoboCop: Rogue City goes like this:
Welcome to Detroit; crime runs rampant as the city lies on the edge of ruin, people fighting for scraps as others live extravagant lives of luxury. Control of the Detroit Police Department is given to the Omni Consumer Products corporation in an attempt to restore order. You are that solution, RoboCop, a cyborg tasked with protecting the city.
Perhaps best of all is the fact that Nacon brought back actor Peter Weller to voice RoboCop and to bring him to life once again.
Judging from the gameplay, there is going to be alot of violence and a lot of gore. There was already a ton of heads getting shot off. Plus, along the way you see some old friends turn up. For one, Ed-209 is raring to welcome you home. Let’s just hope for his sake there are no stairs anywhere.
RoboCop: Rogue City will be coming to PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch in June 2023.
