According to the spring runways, good style in 2026 means getting creative with layering. Designers such as Prada, Versace, and Loewe challenged us to rethink how to wear the clothing we already own—predominantly our basics. Inventive styling in the spring 2026 collections breathed new life into the simplest of staples. At Loewe, a multitude of button-down shirts were layered over each other and topped off with a chic raincoat. At Miu Miu, half-zip sweaters were styled over shirts and a sweater, and finished with aprons. At LII, relaxed tank tops were styled over various tees of different lengths and colors, paired with a pencil skirt and pumps.
