Kelly Gale dropped a new episode of Mask Off on Saturday, and based on her own reaction, it might be one of her best yet.
The Swedish-Australian model and podcast host brought actor Jay Hernandez in for the conversation. Gale announced the release on Instagram, tagging Hernandez directly. Her caption was short and sharp. “We had way too much fun with this one,” she wrote, emoji included.

Mask Off is designed for candid territory. The name implies as much. Gale has made the show a space for honest conversations. Guests come ready to drop the performance. She’s not running a highlight reel. Hernandez tends to keep a relatively low social media profile, so a booking like this feels like a genuine event for his fans.
Hernandez has had a long run in Hollywood. He’s best known for playing Thomas Magnum in the CBS reboot of Magnum P.I., a role he carried for several seasons on the network. Before that, he played El Diablo in Suicide Squad. It’s a career with range – drama, action, comedy – and a fanbase built on genuine appreciation for his work rather than tabloid chatter. He doesn’t flood timelines with content or chase viral moments. Most people only ever see him on screen, in character, hitting marks. A candid conversation like this is something different entirely.
Gale’s own path has covered serious ground. She’s a Victoria’s Secret alumna with campaigns for major fashion houses under her belt and appearances in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue. Mask Off has given her a completely different platform. She hosts. She asks questions. She gets people talking. That’s a different skill set from modeling, and she’s clearly found her footing with it.
The pairing of a Swedish-Australian model and a Hollywood actor might seem unexpected on paper. But Mask Off doesn’t really do expected. Good chemistry makes all the difference on a show like this. Gale’s “way too much fun” is a pretty strong signal this episode has it.
The announcement didn’t include an episode title or any content preview. No topic teaser. No guest highlight clip. Gale let her words carry the pitch. For anyone curious about Hernandez outside the press circuit, that should be more than enough reason to click play.
