No list of the greatest film noir movies in history is complete without Double Indemnity, Billy Wilder’s iconic crime story about an insurance salesman who gets mixed up with Barbara Stanwyck’s femme fatale. The movie was an instant hit with critics and it did get nominated for a bunch of Oscars, including nods for Stanwyck, Wilder, and Best Picture.
