White jeans have been a mainstay in every cool girl’s closet this year and are still very much a thing. Notable wearers from Dua Lipa to Kendall Jenner have been endorsing them. However, there’s a new denim color trend that It girls in L.A. are trading their white jeans for, and it’s effortlessly chic. Lucy Hale was recently spotted in L.A. wearing a simple striped blue button-down styled with a pair of gray jeans. Her jeans were a very light, understated gray hue that prompted a double take.
The rest of her look consisted of a pair of nude flat sandals and an assortment of casual accessories: a pair of black sunglasses, a green baseball cap, and an oversize graphic canvas tote bag. This is a laid-back, simple outfit with a slight twist. The contrasting shade of her gray jeans works better with the shirt than blue jeans would’ve, and she stands out among a sea of her peers wearing white jeans.
