Yaya Bey has shared another preview of her forthcoming album Fidelity: “Egyptian Musk,” a romantic collaboration with the Queens-based reggae artist NESTA. The song comes alongside a video, shot by Michael Grant, which features a beaming Bey cozied up with an apparent beau in a bucket hat. Watch that below.
Bey and NESTA recorded “Egyptian Musk” together after a chance run-in at an event. “We had this really dreamy reggae track that sounds like something old with a fresh spin,” she recalled in press materials. It’s their first song together.
Fidelity is due out on Drink Sum Watr on April 17—Bey shared a lead single, “Blue,” last month. Bey has said the record grapples with her grief over the death of her father, Juicy Crew member Grand Daddy I.U., and the ongoing erosion of Black communities in New York due to gentrification. Her last album, Do It Afraid, came out in 2025.
