The official trailer for NORM has been released and offers a first glimpse into Ferguson’s chaotic zom-com universe – blending shaky documentary realism with sharp satire, slapstick horror, and biting social commentary.
A Bold New Twist on the Undead from the mind of Zak Ferguson, the UK-based experimental filmmaker behind Bradlee, Mourir en Silence, and the upcoming Rodnee, comes NORM – a twisted found footage horror-comedy that asks: What if the apocalypse was already over… but the paperwork never ended?
Presented by Ams Overton, the creator of Space Goblins, NORM promises to deliver a chaotic blend of gallows humor, biting satire, and raw, lo-fi terror.
NORM is a zombie in a world where zombies are illegal.
How did NORM get a free pass?
About the Director — Zak Ferguson
Zak Ferguson is an award-winning UK experimental filmmaker, author, and composer celebrated for his uncompromising approach to underground horror. Ferguson uses horror as both canvas and mirror – examining mental health, identity, and perception through disorienting, visceral storytelling.
His notable films include:
Bradlee (2025) – An experimental psychological horror released by Tarnished Vision Films.
Mourir en Silence (2025) – An arthouse horror exploring silence and decay.
Rodnee (In Production) – A psychological underground horror, crowdfunded on Indiegogo and described as an “endurance test for fans of the extreme.”
Ferguson is also the co-founder of Sweat Drenched Productions, a company dedicated to pushing the limits of experimental cinema and literature.
Beyond film, Ferguson has published numerous acclaimed works, including the my body meat trilogy and poetry collections such as Soft Tissues (2024) and Exteriors of an Autistic Mind (2025). His work has been praised by figures such as Dennis Cooper and featured in Heavy Feather Review.
