Sex & the City star Chris Noth, who played Mr. Big in And Just Like That…, opened up about what it was like for his character to be killed off in the show’s first episode. Noth’s character was the longtime on-and-off romantic interest of the main lead, Carrie Bradshaw, portrayed by Sarah Jessica Parker. Moreover, Noth also revealed whether he has stayed in touch with any of his co-stars following his exit from the series.

In a conversation with The Daily Mail, Noth shared his thoughts on what it was like to see his character, Mr. Big, die at the beginning of And Just Like That… He revealed that he felt “very good” before adding, “I think I was very lucky.” He was then asked if he remains in contact with any of the AJLT co-stars.” Further, he added, “He replied that he is close friends with John Corbett, who plays Aidan Shaw, another love interest of Carrie Bradshaw. Sharing an update on Corbett, he said, “He’s doing wonderful.”
He also shared details about his interaction with Kim Cattrall, who played Samantha Jones in Sex & the City and made a brief cameo in AJLT Season 3. He said, “She’s living in London, I think. I wished her a happy birthday a few months ago, that’s about it.” Last August, HBO canceled And Just Like That…, revealing that Season 3 would be the concluding chapter for the characters.
Director and showrunner Michael Patrick King took to Instagram to announce the reason they chose to end the series. He said, ” While I was writing the last episode of And Just Like That… season 3, it became clear to me that this might be a wonderful place to stop.”
Sharing an update on a change in episode count, he added, “Along with Sarah Jessica Parker, Casey Bloys and Sarah Aubrey, we decided to end the popular series this year with a two-part finale and extended the original series order from 10 episodes to 12.” He revealed that he shared the cancellation news late. He did so, as he did not want it to overshadow the fun of the final installment.
