Spotted in London: The 6 Spring Trends Fashion People Are Wearing in 2026

master mentalism tricks

There’s an art to navigating the unpredictability of spring in London. One day you’re wrapped up in knitwear, and the next it’s bare ankles and sunglasses, but this is the weather that London girls dress for best, with an innate ability to create cool yet effortless outfits that are ready for anything. What I love about women in London is that they’re experimental and let their individualism shine through in their style, all whilst incorporating current trends into their looks.

As a fashion editor, it’s my job to spot the emerging trends as they start to appear. Over the last year, there’s been a shift away from the quiet-luxury, minimalist style we relied on for so long, and fashion is now heading down a bolder, more individual path. Even as a minimalist dresser myself, I have to admit that it’s a welcome change.

The trends we’ve seen cropping up so far this season are rooted in strong silhouettes, and the funnel-neck jacket is the prime example. Its high-neck design is its defining feature, yet it’s still perfectly spring-appropriate (and honestly, I don’t see this spring jacket trend going anywhere any time soon). On the softer side, this spring is also all about the polka-dot revival. Adding a touch of chic romanticism to any look, it’s a timeless trend for a reason.

After scouring the feeds of my favourite London girls, I found six trends that I’m confident we’ll see everywhere this spring (though you’ve likely spotted them already). Curious? Scroll on to let London style set lead the way.

1. Funnel-Neck Jackets

Style Notes: I love the structure a funnel-neck jacket brings to an outfit. It feels polished yet not too formal, and we’ve seen an array of new styles emerging lately, from nylon to trench-coat versions. I’ve not taken my leather funnel-neck off since I bought it, and its versatility is unmatched.

2. Khaki Denim

Style Notes: As a jeans obsessive, there’s nothing I love more than a new denim trend. Francesca has instantly sold me on khaki denim with this look (pictured above). It’s such an unexpected option that feels so different to the usual blue denim we’re see year in, year out.

3. Heeled Thong Sandals

Style Notes: Heeled thong sandals are the cool girl’s go-to for a shoe that’s a little dressier but still perfectly comfy. They’re the perfect transseasonal option that instantly elevates any outfit and can be worn for just about any dress code.

4. Polka Dots

Style Notes: Whilst polka dots are nothing new, it’s a timeless print for a reason. It can feel quite intimidating if, like me, prints aren’t a huge part of your wardrobe, but start small with just one spotted element in your outfit to ease yourself in—you don’t have to go all out with head-to-toe dots.

5. Baby Tees

Style Notes: It’s been a while since there’s been a T-shirt trend we can discuss, so I welcome these super-cropped tees with open arms. Fitted and hitting just above the waist, there’s something undeniably Y2K about baby tees. Whether plain, printed or slogan, they’re such a cute addition to a spring wardrobe.

6. Satin Maxi Skirts

Style Notes: A satin midi skirt has long been considered a capsule-wardrobe staple, and this spring, we’re seeing the maxi iteration take hold. It’s one of those pieces that makes an outfit feel instantly put-together and can be worn dressed up or down. I’ll be taking inspiration from Agnes (pictured above) and pairing mine with an oversized basic tee for a casual look.
