This week’s episode of Survivor 50: In the Hands of the Fans ended with a historic triple elimination. Here are the details of the twist elimination and all the contestants who didn’t make it.
What happened on Survivor 50 Episode 6?
The latest episode of Survivor featured a “Blood Moon” twist, leading to a surprise triple elimination that has never happened before in the show’s history. The three contestants who got voted off this week are Kamilla Karthigesu, Genevieve Mushaluk, and Colby Donaldson.
In celebration of Survivor reaching 50 seasons, series host Jeff Probst revealed to the cast that the production has arranged a historic milestone. “When we were putting together this season, we had one goal,” he announced. “When we were putting together this season, we had one goal. We wanted to do our best to make it memorable. And for it to be memorable, it’s got to be something rare. That’s what makes it special,” the host added.
Probst then revealed that a “Blood Moon” twist will see three players voted out at once. Naturally, the celebration for reaching the “merge” did not last very long after this twist was announced.
Two of the 17 players were safe from the triple elimination after they were sent to the exile island before the challenge. The remaining 15 players were then divided into three groups: Orange, Pink, and Teal. The contestants competed for individual immunity before each group headed to a Tribal Council.
Kamilla Karthigesu from the Orange group was the first to get voted out, followed by Genevieve Mushaluk from Purple. Finally, a unanimous vote eliminated Colby Donaldson from the Teal group.
