The Best New Rock + Metal Songs of the Week

Can’t keep up with every new rock and metal song that comes out each week? Leave it to Loudwire and our Weekly Wire playlist, which is refreshed each Friday afternoon with 50 newly released tracks.

This week sees the release one of the year’s most anticipated albums — Godsmack‘s Lighting Up the Sky — and the band has issued a pyro-heavy music video for the track “Soul on Fire,” which tops our Weekly Wire playlist.

Steel Panther‘s new record On the Prowl also dropped today, so take a listen to the power ballad “On Your Instagram,” a song only this band could pull off.

Elsewhere, we’ve got the highly-touted new collab between Trivium‘s Matt Heafy and Machine Gun Kelly guitarist Sophie Lloyd, “Fall of Man,” another new track from Babymetal, the first new one of the year from Attila, Meet Me @ The Altar‘s “Kool.”

All that and so much more!

Whether it’s punk, metalcore, hard rock, symphonic metal, hardcore or anything else outside and in between under the nebulous rock and metal umbrella, it’s all here in the Weekly Wire playlist below.

If you’re ever unsure of what albums are coming out soon, you can always check our 2023 Hard Rock + Metal Album Release Calendar. And new albums always means new tours, right? We’ve got your back there too with our 2023 Rock + Metal Tour Guide.
