An Improvement From: Madagascar (2005)

I certainly wasn’t expecting much from the third Madagascar after the first two installments of this tame animated animal adventure series. But Europe’s Most Wanted might be the most drug-friendly kids movie since Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. Europe’s Most Wanted doesn’t quite hang together as a story — something about our heroes trying to get back to New York City while being pursued by a deranged animal control agent (Frances McDormand) — but it has the propulsive forward momentum and go-for-broke absurdity of a classic Looney Tunes cartoon.
