Todays Sheinelle Jones Shares Adorable Throwback Pics for Twins 14th Birthday

Sheinelle Jones took a trip down memory lane to celebrate her twins‘ 14th birthday.

“14 years ago today … our lives were forever changed. A two for one special!” she captioned an Instagram slideshow featuring photos of her twins, Clara and Uche, on Friday, July 10. Referring to an adorable photo of the twins as newborns, Jones continued, “In this second picture … I remember placing the twins at the foot of my hospital bed… staring at them in awe … in their little onesies.”

The post’s fifth slide featured a cute photo of Clara and Uche dressed in traditional Nigerian clothing. “In the 5th picture, my husband had native wear made for their baby dedication at church.” She also highlighted the post’s ninth slide, which featured a snap from the twins’ preschool graduation.

“Now …. I have three kids in high school!” she wrote. “I am so thankful to be their mom … clearly … I even wrote a book about it. (All 3 of my children will always be my babies …. no matter how big they get!) Happy Birthday Clara & Uche! Love you!”

The post’s final few slides featured more recent snaps of Clara and Uche, as well as a heartwarming family photo of Jones hugging all three of her kids. (Jones shares her kids, including son Kayin, with her late husband, Uche Ojeh. Ojeh died at the age of 45 in May 2025 following a private battle with brain cancer.)

Fans sent the twins their own birthday wishes in the post’s comments. “Happiest of Birthdays to Clara and Uche! Your babies are beautiful reflections of you and your beloved husband,” one user gushed. “You have been so generous in sharing images of them in the work that you do since they were all babies, we’ve been able to see them grow into amazing young people. May your family continue to be covered and blessed.”

Another wrote, “Love this! Happy birthday to your amazing twins! Mine just turned 8 in May. You are an inspiration to so many!” Someone else shared, “Happy, happy birthday!!! I see your hubby in their faces. He’s never gone.” A different person posted, “And just like that. Nothing like being a mom to twins! Happy bday cuties!”

Jones opened up about the twins’ special day on the Monday, July 13, episode of Today With Jenna & Sheinelle. “I told the kids, I said, ‘Do you know your birth story?’ And they were like, ‘No.’ And I said, ‘Well, I was having contractions,’ and I said, ‘Your dad was with Kayin,’” she shared. “And my mom, I remember, was in our bed. She was worried about me. And so, I told them, ‘I woke up in the middle of the night, and I said, ‘Mom, I think it’s time. They’re happening.’ And she’s like, ‘Oh, Jesus. OK.” They were like, ‘Grammy was sleeping with you?’ And I’m like, ‘Yeah, I needed Grammy.’”

She added, “I said, ‘We had a whole kit prepared, we had snacks for Kayin, we had all these things, and we left all of it. We just ran out the door.’”

Jenna Bush Hager noted that Jones’ family celebrated Clara and Uche’s birthday in a “beautiful, special, magical, unexpected way.” Jones detailed, “Uche used to love fireworks, and so, truth be told, this Fourth of July, we have a place out in the country, we didn’t go because I was just like, ‘We can’t do the fireworks like Dad did.’ Well, my cousin went to his stash, and so, for the twins’ birthday, we heard, ‘Boom! Boom! Boom!’ And the twins had fireworks for their 14th birthday.”
