In celebration of the announcement that the Hell House LLC franchise is getting ready to start filming its fifth entry called Hell House LLC: Lineage, we thought we would rank the previous movies using Letterboxd, the social cataloging movie app powered by fans.
Letterboxd allows its users to rank films from one to five stars.
We also ranked them using Rotten Tomatoes to compare fan opinions with professional, critical ones. Youo can view the films in numerical order, however Carmichael Manor is a loose sequel and prequel; it is set after Hell House III but touches on lore from before the first film. It is also kind of a stand-alone in that it is set in the Hell House universe but contains new characters.
The series has become a cult favorite among fans of the found footage horror genre. These films can get under your skin. The first one is especially creepy, specifically that one scene that is often deemed one of the most chilling in the found footage genre.
But you can decide for yourself, or at least contemplate watching them. We have put the films in order of highest score to lowest. We’ve also included a synopsis from IMDb.
