Growing up on the West Coast, skate and surf culture was king — which is precisely why I found myself shopping religiously at stores like PacSun all the time. While I didn’t spend endless weekends at the local skate park or compete in all of the major surfing competitions (for what it’s worth, I can barely stand up on a surfboard at all), I still wanted to look the part of a coastal cool-girl and relied on brands like PacSun to help me achieve the effortless aesthetic on a budget.
Evidently, I wasn’t alone — hence why other beachy labels like Abercrombie & Fitch, Tilly’s, and Hollister feel so synonymous with the early aughts and nostalgia. PacSun has always managed to stand out among the rest as a go-to destination for it all. From sexy swimsuits and comfy jeans to cool summer dresses, the retailer really offers essentials in every category. But lately I’ve been wanting to expand on my usual brand list by adding a few more stores to my shopping rotation — preferably ones with the same beachy, comfortable, and trendy flair as PacSun.
Whether you’re in the market for some fun summer swimsuits, flirty crop tops, or classic shorts, we’ve rounded up a few other places that are worth taking a look at. Some are a little more luxe, while others lean on the sporty side, but they all give off the same effortless vibe. Keep reading to shop our picks for the best stores like PacSun, and get ready to bookmark these retailers ahead of any future shopping trips.
