Two fugitives on the run after a bank robbery pick the wrong house to hide in. Killing Time has finished shooting with Freddie Prinze Jr., Shelley Hennig, Sasha Pieterse and William Moseley in the leads, and Quiver Distribution will release it across North America in 2027.
Joshua Friedman directed from a script by Ward Anderson and Marc Morgenstern. The couple take refuge in the home of a wealthy married pair who turn out to be keeping secrets of their own, and the night narrows into a standoff where it gets hard to say who is hunting whom. The film is billed as a reworking of the psychological warfare in Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? The Exchange is handling international sales at the American Film Market, and 2027 is already filling up with horror.
A Cast With Real Genre Mileage
Prinze Jr. has been tied to the genre since 1997, when he played Ray Bronson in I Know What You Did Last Summer and its sequel the following year. He came back to the part for the 2025 legacy sequel, and Killing Time keeps him in the genre.

Hennig carried Unfriended, the 2014 screen-life horror film that spent its entire runtime inside a laptop, and was a series regular on Teen Wolf. Pieterse played Alison DiLaurentis across Pretty Little Liars, and Moseley is still best known as Peter Pevensie in the Chronicles of Narnia films. Michael Evans Behling and Michael Sirow fill out the house.

Shot in Arkansas, Start to Finish
The production ran three weeks in May and June in and around Little Rock, and it stayed there for every frame. Producer Linda Duncombe told Arkansas magazine AY that the choice was deliberate. “We wanted to use no stock footage,” she said. “We wanted to use all footage from Arkansas.” The shoot used the state’s 25 percent film tax credit and hired local crew.
Duncombe died in October, and Killing Time is the last film she produced. Larry Greenberg of Quiver called the release a tribute to her work on it, alongside what he described as the passion of its star. Friedman has talked about the film in the same terms, saying it will always be sacred to him.
What he keeps coming back to is the room itself. “Watching them go at each other across a living room was the whole movie,” Friedman said. Four actors, one house, and a year to wait.
