Think Halloween is over? Think again. Snapshots from the spooky holiday are still trickling in, as evidenced by the latest series of images that Florence Pugh just shared on Instagram. On Tuesday, the “Don’t Worry Darling” star revealed that for her Halloween costume of choice, she channeled Cruella, the conniving yet stylish villain from the beloved Disney classic “101 Dalmatians.”
Pugh, 26, wore a dalmatian-print dress that featured a fitted bodice and a halter-style silhouette. Of course, as Cruella is one of the more fashionable Disney villains, it was only fitting that Pugh tacked on the accessories to really round out the ensemble. To start, she layered a chunky black-and-gold wristwatch over her black opera-length gloves. Next, she added a black choker with a dangling black heart pendant, in addition to a thin-strand pearl necklace with a gold pendant. A short-haired black-and-white wig and ruby red lipstick completed Pugh’s villainous Halloween costume.
Her friend Theo Smith took the opportunity to dress up as Pugh, channeling her outfit when she arrived late to Venice Film Festival during the “Don’t Worry Darling” film promo run, wearing a purple bandeau, shorts, and breezy top with an Aperol Spritz in hand. The actress referenced both outfits in her caption, writing: “Red lips, sh*t wigs, dogs both human and real, Aperol, Timberlake and sweaty upper lips. Loved that Halloween.”
Interestingly enough, the actor’s personal style as of late has been a little Cruella-esque. Earlier this month, she stepped out in a completely sheer black gown that was covered in bows and sparkles. Pulled from the Rodarte Fall 2022 collection, the dramatic dress featured metallic tulle and silk organza, with a floor-grazing hem and playful puff sleeves. And just last week, she opted for a white Erdem look straight from the Spring 2023 runway. That particular ‘fit included a smocked bustier crop top with prominent contrast stitching and a matching A-line skirt with a wide waistband and bows at the sides.
