Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck celebrated their first Valentine’s Day as a married couple by showing off coordinated tattoos, with hers sitting right at the base of her bustline. To properly show off her new ink, she wore an ultracropped white tee — a trend of the early aughts that has come back into favor over recent seasons. With a large Fernando Jorge ring on her right hand, she took a mirror selfie that showed off the still-bandaged infinity sign with an arrow through it, just beneath the raw hem of her top. The infinity sign appears to have both stars’ names written in cursive. Lopez and Affleck’s romance has been a whirlwind since the beginning, with the pair dating in the early 2000s until they broke up in 2004. After getting engaged back in April, they tied the knot in the summer and are now evidently celebrating their finally official marriage with matching tattoos.
Lopez has long been a fan of the cropped silhouette, wearing the trend via workout tops and editorial-spread corsets alike. But this is the first time we’ve seen her in the most simple version of them all: a cotton crewneck tee slashed at the bottom. This micro silhouette has been favored by many a celebrity lately, such as Dua Lipa, who really leaned into the Y2K aesthetic in a butterfly top from Masha Popova that was more of a bandeau than a shirt. While the ultracropped trend leaves little room for movement, it’s often styled with a bralette underneath to ward off any unwanted wardrobe malfunctions, though Lopez’s take has a boudoir effect more akin to lingerie.
The 53-year-old multihyphenate has been showing skin in other ways, too, both with an up-to-there-slit one-shoulder dress in a promotional video on Instagram and her “naked” Gucci gown at this month’s Grammys.
Ahead, check out Lopez’s latest crop-top look and shop a few similar styles, just in time for the upcoming warm weather.
