Hulu is doing the Lord’s work this month. They have a solid mix of throwbacks, movies fresh from the presses, and some sick anime for our viewing pleasure this April. I’m pre-unsettled and ready to jump into all these titles the second they hit this streamer. We have all-star cast thrillers, some underappreciated sci-fi, and a couple of shows we might have missed last season.
I’m down to finally check out Reginald the Vampire because I want to be ready for season two. I’m also happy Shudder’s She Will might get more eyeballs so I can talk about it with more people. They are even letting us gather the group chat to rewatch Prom Night (2008) and finally share that experience with others. It’s a good month to be a subscriber to this streamer. Although, I have my eye on a few select titles as usual.
Copycat (1995)
Two women work together to bring down a serial killer that copies killers from the past. I haven’t seen this movie since I was a baby. So, I’m really happy to check it out as an adult. I’m sure Sigourney Weaver, Holly Hunter, Dermot Mulroney, and Harry Connick Jr. give performances that are worthy of the memories burned into my brain. This is by far the most exciting title on the list for me, and I cannot wait. I’ll probably make this a double feature with Hulu’s Boston Strangler.
Door Mouse (2022)
A comic-book creator working at a burlesque club enlists the help of a colleague to figure out who is behind the disappearances of young women in their circle. I’ve had my eye on this thriller for a few months and am excited it’s finally on a streamer. It’s giving badass women, POC in leading roles, and even some time with Famke Janssen. I’m so excited to pull up on this one! It’s like Hulu knew I needed a win this year.
The Forgotten (2004)
A couple is told their children never existed before things get even more complicated. As someone who doesn’t do kids, this sounds like a free do-over, and I think they should take the win. Julianne Moore leads this cast of familiar and loveable faces. This cast includes Alfre Woodard, Gary Sinise, Anthony Edwards, and Dominic West. Many of us slept on this sci-fi psychological thriller in our youth. It’s time to correct that mistake and watch it as adults because she’s a low-key gem.
Mission To Mars (2000)
The first manned mission to Mars ends in disaster. This leads to a rescue mission to find answers and see if there are any survivors. This is another movie I’ve wanted to revisit because I was not about it as a kid. However, it’s directed by Brian De Palma and stars Gary Sinise, Don Cheadle, Connie Nielsen, Jerry O’Connell, Kim Delaney, and Tim Robbins. I need to reevaluate it immediately because I might be the problem. I’m lowkey hoping this gets some of the Pitch Black crowd to give it another try, too.
The Offering (2023)
The son of a funeral director returns home with a pregnant wife. However, reconciliation with his father is put on the back burner due to the ancient evil that wants his unborn child. I’m so grateful that Hulu is getting so many new horror movies I’ve been dying to see. I’m also excited about this one because it looks creepy as hell. Also very here for more Jewish horror movies because it’s a subgenre that needs more titles on streamers.

Hulu has the hits again this April. I don’t know why we’re surprised when they bring it to us every month, but here we are. This lineup is right on time because it gives me something to do while sitting in my apartment judging people through the window as they take part in spring shenanigans. While they’re out there getting Midsommar‘d, I’ll be in my apartment running through these killer titles.
Are you excited about any of these horror titles hitting Hulu this month? Then let me know at @misssharai.
