Is this some kind of a joke? Country singer Jimmie Allen, who has been embroiled in a sexual assault scandal as of late, announced he’s going on tour again – but not for his music. Nope. He’s heading out on the road for a comedy tour.
The 38-year-old musician took to Instagram on Thursday to make the announcement, writing to his followers:
“‘I Said What I Said,’ and I’m gonna say it again during my 3-night comedy tour coming this October! ALL shows are invite only, so be sure signup with your e-mail via link in bio to receive the latest news & how to win tix”

Dates and venue locations for the tour haven’t been revealed yet. You can see the post (below):
Now, who thought this was a good idea to go out and do COMEDY in the middle of multiple sexual assault allegations? Is this meant to be some sort of redemption tour? Seriously? For those who don’t know, Jimmie made headlines this year when he and his wife Alexis Gale announced that they were separating after three years of marriage and expecting their third child together.
At the time, the reason for their split wasn’t known. But a month later, his unnamed former manager came forward and accused him of rape and sexual harassment in a lawsuit filed in May. The following month, a second woman accused him of sexual assault. However, Jimmie has maintained his innocence, claiming to have had an “affair” with his former manager. He also filed a countersuit against his two accusers.
Well, we’ll have to see if he actually gets anyone in the seats at his shows. Reactions, Perezcious readers? Let us know in the comments below.
