Sharon Osbourne is sharing how fans can honor Ozzy Osbourne on the first anniversary of his death.
“As Ozzy would say, ‘When you want to remember me, just yank up the music really loud, as loud as you can get it, and just head bang,’” Sharon, 73, said in an interview with the BBC published on Wednesday, July 22, which marks one year since the rock legend died.
Sharon reflected on her marriage and life with Ozzy, who died at age 76 on July 22, 2025.
“He was authentic. He never tried to be anything other than what he was, and he would tell you the truth about everything, and that was him, you knew where you were with him,” the music manager said. “He was just genuine, so genuine and funny.”
Ozzy Osbourne’s friends and family gathered in Birmingham, England on Wednesday, July 30, to celebrate the late music legend. “I mean, we could have the worst arguments in the world, but we would end up laughing because he would say something so ridiculous that we would just crack up,” she added.
Sharon and Ozzy shared three children: daughters Aimee, 42, and Kelly, 41, and son Jack, 40. (Ozzy also had three children from his first marriage to Thelma Riley.)
Ozzy’s family announced his death in a statement to Us Weekly a year ago, saying, “It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time.”

On Tuesday, July 21, Kelly remembered her father ahead of the first anniversary of his death in an emotional Instagram post.
“I don’t just mourn the father I lost. I mourn the soul I was before death taught my heart its own name,” Kelly wrote.
“There is a grief that steals more than the person you love. It quietly takes the light from your laughter, the innocence from your hope and the stranger you become is someone you’ll spend a lifetime trying to recognize,” the singer continued. “People think grief is missing someone who is gone, but the deepest sorrow is waking each day longing for the version of yourself who died with them.”
Kelly added, “I miss who I was before my daddy died. Before my heart became a home for absence. Before every memory became both a blessing and a wound.”
