Most rappers flaunt their bling and their cars, but Post Malone can now add a very rare Magic: The Gathering card to his collection of splurges — this splurge, in particular, being valued at over $2 million.
A lucky fan named Brook Trafton recently acquired the one-of-a-kind “One Ring” MTG card, a crossover collaboration they did with the Lord of the Rings franchise earlier this year. It’s unclear exactly how the two got in touch, but Trafton figured Posty, a noted longtime MTG fan, would appreciate the collectible.
On Tuesday (August 1st), Trafton shared TikTok of himself meeting Post, presenting him with the plastic-encased card. After the singer examines it for a second, he responds: “Yeah, I’ll take it,” beaming as the pair hug. “This is so cool. This is, like, the greatest shit ever, dude!” he adds later.
“When I found the One Ring, the first person who came to mind was @Post Malone,” Trafton wrote in the caption. “I have played MTG since I was a kid and obviously it would be amazing to keep this card. But for a guy like me, being able to sell it is life changing. I just really hoped it would go to someone who would appreciate it as much as I do. This is my dream come true, meeting Post Malone and him buying the One Ring card from me is literally a moment straight out of a fairytale. Post Malone @Magic: The Gathering you have changed my life.
