Landing one iconic TV character is a career-defining feat for any actor, but portraying two classic and unforgettable roles is a rare and pretty remarkable achievement — BUT it does happen. Take, for example, the queen of television herself, Lucille Ball, who portrayed three classic TV characters: Lucy Ricardo on I Love Lucy, Lucy Carmichael on The Lucy Show, and Lucy Hinkley Carter on Here’s Lucy.
However, if you were to ask anyone what character they think of first when they think of Lucille, most people would say, of course, Lucy Ricardo. This made me want to know: Do most people think of the same role first when they think of an actor with more than one iconic TV role?
So, with that in mind, I put together 20 actors who have portrayed two classic TV characters (FTR: some of them have had more than that, but I kept it to just two). Let me know which role you think of first when you think of them:
