New TV Shows & Movies Being Added

Netflix’s new TV and movie releases for January 6-12 2025 include My Happy Marriage Season 2 and The Upshaws Part 6.

My Happy Marriage Season 2 drops on Netflix on January 6. It continues the story of Miyo (Reina Ueda) and Kiyoka’s (Kaito Ishikawa) relationship, which continues to blossom, as the couple face new challenges like Kiyoka’s parents and conspirators threatening to harm their dynamic.

January 9 then brings The Upshaws Part 6 to Netflix. This comedy family-drama from Wanda Sykes (who also stars in the series) and Regina Y. Hicks follows Bennie Upshaw, who tries his best to care for and provide for his family while being tormented by his sister-in-law. Mike Epps, Kim Fields, Khali Daniya-Renee Spraggins, Journey Christine, and Jermelle Simon, make up the principal cast.

Also dropping this week on Netflix is Fake Profile Season 2. Set after the events of the first season, it sees Camila (Carolina Miranda) attempt to distance herself from the abusive/toxic Miguel (Rodolfo Salas) and move on with David (Lincoln Palomeque). However, their blossoming relationship gets threatened by a series of ominous murders.

Another title arriving on Netflix this week is Lion. This popular film stars Academy Award nominee Dev Patel as a 30-year-old Indian man Saroo, raised by Australians. He goes on a difficult journey to find his biological family, whom he got separated from in Kolkata when he was 5.
