Brooke Hogan’s Husband Steven Oleksy Defends Her Amid Family Drama

Brooke Hogan’s husband, hockey player Steven Oleksy, has reacted to her ongoing family estrangement drama.

“While there is little need to defend the character of my wife or myself, I feel compelled to acknowledge and validate the outpouring of support we’ve received over the past few days,” Oleksy, 39, wrote via Instagram on Saturday, March 29. “My wife’s post was not a plea for attention, sympathy or even support. It was simply a response to the false claims that had been made about her.”

Brooke’s mother, Linda Hogan, claimed in an Instagram Story video earlier this week that she hadn’t seen her 36-year-old daughter in eight years. Brooke shot down the accusations in multiple social media statements, claiming that she and Oleksy saw her mom in 2023. Brooke also claimed that she was in “no contact” with both parents — she is also the daughter of wrestler Hulk Hogan — over different issues with boundaries.

“I cannot stand by and allow anyone to continue to hurt the most amazing person I am fortunate enough to call my wife,” Oleksy added. “We are surrounded by an incredible family, both by blood and through the strong network of friends and supporters who stand by us.”

He further defended Brooke’s “true character” in his lengthy statement.

“For those who may still have doubts about my wife’s true character, [one] individual has repeatedly told me that my wife does not have a bad bone in her body, and I feel it’s important to share a story that highlights who she is at her core,” Oleksy wrote, asserting that Brooke once continually tried to convince an inconsistent friend to go to a Stevie Nicks concert together. “As her husband, I witnessed her emotional toll as each of these interactions wore her down to the point that she would change the radio station any time a song from her favorite artist, Stevie Nicks, came on the radio.”

Oleksy further said it was “heartbreaking” to watch Brooke renovate and design a house for her friend — he did not identify the person in his Saturday statement — “purely out of kindness” and without compensation.

“All she asked for was a simple request: to watch a sunset together. Her gesture was set with a cold shoulder and the individual walked away, leaving her behind to watch the sunset alone,” Oleksy said, claiming that Brooke then resolved to let go of any financial commitments in order to prioritize “time and love over anything material.”

Oleksy and Brooke secretly tied the knot in 2022, three years before welcoming twins Oliver and Molly earlier this year.

“I have had the privilege of witnessing my wife go from humbling herself to wait tables, passing her Florida real estate exam, obtaining her health and nutrition certification, all the way to building one of the most successful interior design firms in Nashville entirely on her own,” Oleksy stated. “Let’s not overlook that, while building this business, she was not a finger-pointer — she was the one carrying beds, dressers, TVs and more, up and down four flights of stairs, hundreds-even thousands of times on each and every job.”

He continued, “She gives everything she has in all that she does, often leaving her own cup empty. Her actions are never driven by financial gain or desire for others to fill her cup, but rather by a relentless commitment to doing the right thing for the right reasons.”

Oleksy further called Brooke “the truest, most genuine person,” who “loves hard.”

“Keep spreading peace, love and positivity,” he concluded.
