Squid Game continues to be one of Netflix’s most successful shows in the history of the platform. Over the past month, the hit Korean series has inspired numerous fan theories, memes, and thinkpieces. Created by Hwang Dong-hyuk, the show revolves around a competition in which down-on-their-luck contestants must participate in a series of children’s games, with deadly consequences. Packed with gripping action and heartbreaking drama, Squid Game has resonated with audiences in a potent way. And, like any binge-worthy series, it left us wanting more.
Season 1 of Squid Game introduced us to several memorable characters and storylines over the course of its nine episodes, and let’s face it — we didn’t exactly get closure on all of them. The finale concluded with a big ol’ question mark, leaving fans hungry for answers. While a second installment hasn’t officially been ordered by Netflix, it’s never too early to speculate which questions could be addressed in future episodes.
While many of our most burning questions were answered in those last few episodes, many still remain. In fact, many of the series’ biggest revelations actually spawned more questions than we had before. While we know more about the nature of the games and even who was behind them all, there’s a lot of pieces of information missing from the puzzle.
