Armitage played the title role of young Sheldon Cooper in the video as he states his intention to conduct an interview with McKenna Grace who plays his co-star. He refers to her as “the fondest” person in his life because they enjoy spending time together. The couple engages in a dialogue that feels natural because they both make real gestures toward each other.
They both enjoy studying rocks and playing with stuffed toys. “I jam-packed my bed full of stuffed animals so that I barely have any room,” Grace reveals. Armitage excitedly agrees, saying he’s left with “like literally this much space.” Grace asks Armitage to choose an animal for his character in the interview which becomes a playful moment. His answer: a dragon, but specifically “not the western kind.” He finds those too stiff. When he asks her the same question she instantly replies with “A hairless cat.”
People shared the video on the pop culture forum of Reddit with the caption “the timeline cleanse we always need.” The audience immediately accepted the wholesome content. The interaction received many comments which expressed that it was both adorable and heartwarming to watch.
The discussion brought forth McKenna Grace’s extensive work history from her time as a child actress. One user remarked, “Wait… is she this gen’s Dakota Fanning? How was she in literally everything.” The users debated her filmography against Dakota and Elle Fanning while some users believed she had more acting credits. A user pointed out that “for a long time people believed McKenna Grace and Jacob Tremblay were the only child actors in existence.”
