After a rocky start to its production in which the series’ original showrunners were let go after multiple episodes were filmed so it could be reshot and go in a different creative direction,Born AgainSeason 1 got some of Marvel’s stronger reviews of any of their TV series. A lot of that probably had to do with the returns of Cox and DOnofrio, who are very good in their roles no matter what’s going on in the series around them.

From The Evil Dead to Send Help, we ranked the movies of one of Hollywood’s most imaginative and stylish directors.

For Love of the Game (1999)”,”photo-description”:”
For Love of the Game is really an aberration in Sam Raimi’s career. It’s his only sports movie, one of the few films in his career without any sort of supernatural or sci-fi hook, and it’s also pretty crummy. Kevin Costner stars as an aging pitcher who finds himself throwing a perfect game on what could be the final start of his career. The main issue is pacing; Raimi intersperses the game and Costner psyching himself up to outsmart one batter after another (some of which is quite good) with flashbacks to scenes of his rocky relationship with his girlfriend (some of which is quite not good). Instead of feeling like an enormously tense contest, For Love of the Game feels like a 20-inning marathon that just won’t end. Also, this is a nitpick, and I know the phrase gets mentioned in the film, but shouldn’t it be called For the Love of the Game? Who says “for love of the game” without that second the?
