Independent film studio Dog Food Productions has officially released the first trailer for The Atlas Field (2026), the highly anticipated new feature from visionary director Sid Lucero. Known for his minimalist, atmospheric style that blends psychological horror and surrealism, Lucero’s latest project promises an intimate, unsettling cinematic experience that challenges the boundaries of reality.
The film stars Giuseppe Pestillo and Davide Fusinato as Daniel and Henry, two estranged brothers thrust into an inexplicable nightmare. Afflicted by a terminal illness, Daniel convinces Henry to accompany him to the summit of a mountain they visited together during their childhood. Daniel’s goal is simple yet devastating: to end his suffering on his own terms.
However, their pilgrimage takes a dark turn as they enter the wilderness. The mountain is surrounded by a mysterious project run by Sirevo, a secretive private corporation whose local operations have sparked intense scrutiny. As unexplained phenomena multiply throughout the forest, the brothers’ journey devolves into a direct confrontation with a environment that defies explanation—a place where the rules of time bend, and the past may never have truly disappeared.
The Atlas Field marks a distinct continuation of Lucero’s signature thematic explorations.
