Andrew Shue, Marilee Fiebig’s Relationship Timeline After Exes’ Scandal

Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes weren’t the only ones to find love in an unexpected place — so did their former spouses Andrew Shue and Marilee Fiebig.

Shue — once married to Robach — and Fiebig — former wife of Holmes — started dating one another after their former spouses engaged in a scandalous office romance while working at ABC.

Back in November 2022 the pair were photographed getting cozy outside of their New York office. That same month, Holmes filed for divorce from Fiebig after more than a decade of marriage. Robach also ended her marriage to Shue, whom she married in 2010. Holmes and Robach, who worked alongside each other as cohosts at GMA3, were axed by ABC two months after photos of the couple first surfaced.

Holmes and Robach broke their silence about the scandal one year later.

“To be clear, we were outed as being in a relationship, but everyone else thought we were being outed as adulterers — being outed as cheating on our spouses — and it wasn’t the case because the odd thing is, the day those pictures were taken and the day that article was released, we both at that point were in divorce proceedings,” Holmes said in the debut episode of his and Robach’s “Amy and T.J.” podcast in December 2023.

Robach, meanwhile, claimed that her marriage to Shue was over before she started dating Holmes.

“We had attorneys, mediators, we were in the middle of divorces,” she shared at the time. “We thought we were protecting our children and our families and we thought we had time and we thought we had a right to privacy and maybe that was foolish and silly.”

Us Weekly confirmed that same month that Shue and Fiebig had moved on — with each other. A source told Us at the time that the duo were “happy together” and that their “feelings for each other are genuine.”

News broke oft Holmes and Robach’s romance after they were spotted spending time together while seemingly still married to their respective spouses. The former costars have since denied that they weren’t faithful during their marriages. Shue has yet to comment publicly on the drama.

Fiebig, for her part, released a statement through her attorney two months later. “During the holiday season and in light of the challenging times, Marilee’s sole focus has remained on the overall best interest of her 9-year-old daughter,” the statement read in part.

Her lawyer Stephanie Lehman continued: “To that end T.J.’s lawyer and I have been working together to move their divorce forward privately, expeditiously and as amicably as possible. Notwithstanding, we continue to be disappointed by T.J’s lack of discretion, respect and sensitivity toward Marilee and the party’s daughter. Marilee has been touched by the outpouring of support and looks forward to a new beginning in this new year.”

Shue and Fiebig’s romance made headlines the same month that Holmes and Robach broke their silence about the scandal. In photos of the pair in New York, Shue and Fiebig were seen preparing for a weekend getaway.

An insider told Us that Shue and Fiebig’s romance was more than just “a rebound.” The pair “knew each other” from going on double dates when they were still married to Robach and Holmes, with the source adding, “They always got along.”

While Holmes and Robach didn’t address the news about their exes, they used an episode of their podcast to discuss the lessons they learned from 2023.

“Tabloid stories aren’t reported. They are planted. I got a whole education on this this year,” Holmes said before Robach added, “That’s a good one and very true.”

Shue and Fiebig appeared in great spirits while on a stroll in New York City — they smiled and held hands on their way to dinner in photos obtained by Us.

The couple was spotted kissing and hugging while saying goodbye to each other in Manhattan’s West Village neighborhood. In one extra steamy snap, Shue was seen getting handsy with Fiebig and grabbing her butt.

“Amy is happy for Andrew and Marilee,” a second source exclusively revealed to Us about Robach’s reaction to Shue and Fiebig going public with their romance. The insider maintained that Robach’s focus was on her relationship with Holmes, sharing, “Friends have told her they’ve never seen her this happy.”

Andrew’s sister, Elisabeth Shue, offered insight into his life out of the spotlight, telling E! News, “He’s great. He’s very, very happy.”

Andrew had the same response that same month while speaking to former Melrose Place costars Laura Layton, Courtney Thorne Smith and Daphne Zuniga on their “Still the Place” podcast.

“I’m doing very well,” he shared. “I am very happy. My kids are all great, and I’m working on a project.”

Shue and Fiebig became red carpet official when they stepped out at the 2024 Grassroots Soccer World AIDS Day Gala.

“Thanks to @grassrootsoccer for an incredible evening at their 2024 World AIDS Day Gala in NYC this past week,” Fiebig wrote via Instagram at the time. “The event supports life-saving health care programs for young people around the world, with a particular focus on sub-Saharan Africa. ❤️.”

“[They] have moved in together,” a source exclusively revealed to Us. “It’s not revenge. It’s real.”

According to the insider, Shue and Fiebig “are doing great and very much in love.” They aren’t in a rush, however, to take their romance to the next level.

“Marriage is a big step, so they’re cautious and careful because they got hurt the last time,” the source continued. “It’s more important for them to just be in love, live together, travel and enjoy each other.”
