What’s the story behind the story? What inspired you to write Search No Further?
I was sitting in a family-run restaurant one day, watching the comings and goings of the staff and family members, and I thought to myself, I bet there are some stories to be told here! I went home and started plotting.
If you had to pick theme songs for the main characters of Search No Further, what would they be?
Cara De Rosa: ‘Run the World (Girls)’ by Beyonce. Sienna De Rosa: ‘Everybody hurts’ by R.E.M.
What’s your favorite genre to read? Is it the same as your favorite genre to write?
Psychological suspense thrillers: both reading and writing.
What books are on your TBR pile right now?
Far too many to mention! At the top of the pile are: Colleen Hoover – It Ends With Us, Kiersten Modglin – Missing Daughter, Lisa Jewell – The Night She Disappeared.
What scene in your book was your favorite to write?
One in the closing chapters, where there is another twist to the story. I can’t say much more than that #nospoilers
Do you have any quirky writing habits? (lucky mugs, cats on laps, etc.)
My dog’s bed is under my desk, and he never leaves that spot when I’m writing. Unless, of course, there is an offer of food from another family member. He nudges my leg every now and again, and I run my foot up and down his back.
Do you have a motto, quote, or philosophy you live by?
Change the way you look at things and the things you look at change.
If you could choose one thing for readers to remember after reading your book, what would it be?
Always be kind. We never know what is going on in other people’s lives.
